Lavender Menace Organic Cotton T-Shirt in Black
Lavender Menace t-shirt in black, printed with our original artwork on an organic cotton Earth Positive tee.
It's made from 100% organic cotton and ethically produced, then printed to order by our UK print partner, so nothing is made until you order it.
The Lavender Menace was a group of lesbian feminists formed in 1970 to protest their exclusion from the wider feminist movement. The term was originally used by Betty Friedan when she described lesbians as a threat to women's liberation, branding them the “Lavender Menaces.”
Lesbian activists reclaimed the term and famously wore “Lavender Menace” T-shirts while protesting at the Second Congress to Unite Women. Their protest helped push lesbian inclusion further into feminist activism, making the phrase an important part of lesbian feminist history.
Unisex fit, in sizes XS to 5XL. Choose your size at checkout.
Please note: T-shirts and tote bags are printed and posted by our print partner, so they have their own delivery charge and don't count towards free delivery. If you order one with jewellery, it will arrive in a separate parcel.
